Cyber Monday is your chance to shop strategically following Black Friday‘s frenzy. Black Friday is in two days and Cyber Monday three days after that. If it turns out you find absolutely everything on your top priority list on Black Friday, it would be nice to have some discretionary funds left to have fun shopping on Cyber Monday. If, however, you are still searching for deals on specific products or categories after Black Friday, your Cyber Monday will be more purposeful. Amazon reserves excellent deals for Cyber Monday. Last year Amazon sold literally millions of Echo Dots and (we don’t know how many but) a load of Echo Shows. Both devices sold out before Cyber Monday. Delivery dates for Echo Dots pushed several weeks into December in 2018 and Echo Show smart displays weren’t available back in stock until mid-January 2019. So, while you’ll want to shop strategically, that doesn’t mean hold off on buying popular items while you search for other deals. You can’t count on hot items remaining in inventory, even with Amazon’s incredibly deep inventories.
Don’t blow your Cyber Monday funds on Black Friday’s urgency-based sales — it’s easy to do in the heat of the moment. Retailers use limited-time and limited-quantity deals to influence shoppers to take prompt action. Unless an item is on your “must-have” list — in which case, Score! — otherwise, hold off in the early hours of Black Friday. Don’t deplete your budget too early and miss out on a must-have item later on. End-of-the-sale close-out deals can be especially sweet when you purposefully saved money for them.
What to expect from Amazon on Cyber Monday
When Cyber Monday arrives, remember to pace yourself. Amazon won’t introduce all of its best deals at the beginning of the Cyber Monday. Amazon will feature various types of deals during the day, including lightning deals, short-term, limited-quantity sales, and exclusive bundles. You might be tempted to lean on your refresh button all day, but let us do that — because we will. We’ll update this page all day with the very best deals in the categories we monitor.
Amazon will offer hefty discounts on its owned-brand products such as Fire TV, Ring, and Blink. You can also expect excellent deals on most Amazon Echo smart home devices such as the Echo and Echo Dot, Echo Shows, Fire TVs, Fire Tablets, and their Kindle e-readers. You also can count on seeing tons of deals on third-party Alexa-compatible devices, including video doorbells, smart security cameras, speakers, lights, robot vacuums, and other appliances.
Because Amazon organizes deals by categories, you should find it very easy to shop for deals on computers and accessories, home, electronics, kitchen, cell phones and accessories, video games, cameras and photography, office products and supplies, and major appliances.
What Amazon did last during Cyber Monday 2018 and Prime Day 2019
By Cyber Monday 2018, Amazon had already sold out on some smart speakers and Echo smart displays, but there were plenty of excellent deals left. One exciting pattern we observed last Cyber Monday and during this year’s Prime Day was that Amazon offered attractive discounts on some of its most recently announced products. For example, during Prime Day 2019, Amazon reduced the price of the then-new Echo Show 5 from its $90 list price to just $60.
You can also expect Amazon to offer significant savings on services like Audible audiobooks and possibly discounts on Amazon Prime for new members, too.

As we said earlier about Black Friday, you don’t have to wait for Cyber Monday to find head-shaking deals on Amazon. We’ve already noted and posted heavily-discounted Amazon deals for smart home devices, vacuums, and small appliances. Amazon hopes you spend money now and on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, so the company will continue to add tempting new deals to the site during the lead up to the post-Thanksgiving sales events.
